Kris Stewart would like to provide a context for the importance of this
committee due to the course she currently teaches, CS 440 Social and
Ethical Issues in Computing. At yesterday's meeting we discussed recent
news, such as the sentencing (18 months in prison) of the 19 year-old
who released the Blaster worm on the Internet and the availability of a
time-sync video of the Oct 03 Wild Fires in San Diego (gathered as a
unexpected data source from the
HPWREN) and its
wireless network.
