Video Captioning For Accessibility Welcome to this demonstration of two new ways to create captions for your QuickTime digital videos within a web browser and for FREE! Recently, there has been a wave of interest in video captioning on many university campuses, mostly as a result of the requirements specified in Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. The programs being demonstrated address two main applications for digital video captioning, 1) live caption 'chats' to accompany live webcasts, and 2) captioning of existing videos with their accompanying transcripts. The first demonstration program, called "Chat Captioning" addresses the first application, and "VideoSync" addresses the second. Learn more about these programs by clicking the links below, and from those pages you'll find links to the fully functional demonstrations themselves. We hope you find these tools useful. Please email us with feedback. comments, or questions. Learn more about Chat Captioning
