The Supercomputer Teacher Enhancement Program, STEP, was funded by the National Science Foundation, NSF, 1993-1996, to introduce teams of high school science and math teachers from schools in San Diego and Imperial counties to the uses of computers in scientific research and education. This page summarizes the actual workshops along with the following information from 1996, when SDSC, San Diego Supercomputer Center, was nominated for the Computerworld / Smithsonian Info Tech Award.
