Arizona: Yuma Crossing National Heritage Area- an amazing story. Steam Navigation allowed pioneers (and freight) to travel from San Francisco, to the Gulf of California and then by steam ship up the Colorado River to Yuma. Historic Yuma was a focal point for many people, over time.
