We met with the 3 candidates who were brought to the campus to replace Dave Sharpe and made our recommendation to Ethan Singer. 2) The Committee discussed expanding our name to be Information and Instruction Technology, to better describe the tasks the Senate refers to the committee. For example last year's Student Email policy. 3) The Committee used the SSW 2667 Video Teleconference Room for meetings for 2 reasons: a) to "use the technology" and be familiar with the capabilities on campus; b) to save our IVC member, Steven Marx, the rental car process and drive from IVC to attend the meetings. The consensus was that this was a useful mechanism. 4) The Committee succeeded in ensuring participation for the College of Business Administration, by including Professor Bongsik Shin. 5) The Committee continued to include members from ITSO in their discussions to provide technical expertise on issues of Information Technology. 6) The Committee requests the Senate consider expanding the IT committee membership to include representation from ITSO. 7) The Committee voted to re-appoint Kris Stewart to Chair the Committee.
