Dis We bought from Dudley Dismuke, postermaster Encinitas, family with dichondra lawn and white picket fence in front. To the west, backyard, was the canyon. The lower back yard filled with rose bushes, which "bite you". Glen remembers that Kevin & Lonnie came over to dig up rose bushes for their home in Escondido. I was able to announce to colleagues at SDSU that folks could come by and dig them up, if they were rose fans. Lots of rose fans, so the bushes were gone the first weekend.
